Hello everyone, I’m Coach Ava!

Swim team has been one of my passions since I was five years old when I joined my first team! Since then, I've swam on numerous teams including neighborhood teams, SEVA, Coast Guard, YMCA, and my high school's varsity swim team!

I've been an assistant coach since I was 11 and have really enjoyed working as a Lifeguard and private swim coach for the past four years teaching kids aged 3-18 years old.

I’m a rising sophomore studying finance at James Madison University, and when I’m not in the pool, you can find me enjoying fun times with friends, hanging with my dog, or at the beach!

I can’t wait to meet everyone and look forward to a fun season!!

Hey, I’m Coach Michal!
I have been swimming since I was seven years old. I began my swim team career on the Hidenwood Tarpons and stayed on that team all the way through high school. I love summer swim and the community and love of swimming it can provide. I also swam for the Victory YMCA Barracudas for 8 years. I have been able to share my love of swimming by being a volunteer junior assistant coach at Hidenwood for five years, as well as a swim lesson instructor, and a lifeguard for 4 years.

I will be starting my second year at Christopher Newport studying biochemistry and political science. In the summer, when I’m not at the pool you can find me spending time with my family, working at the farmers table, or watching Star Wars. I’m super excited for the upcoming season and looking forward to seeing everyone improve and be the best swimmer they can be!
